Feeling a bit under the weather...

Good Evening All,

I have been feeling a bit under the weather since my last post and I am finding it hard to get motivated, but tonight I decided to try and take a few pictures. One thing I love about the World Goth Fair is that it presents me a challenge in my blogging style. If you haven't noticed Goth isn't one of my stronger styles. Once upon a time, I was really good at Goth style images but somewhere along the way, I lost my touch so I always find them to be challenge to pull off. I never seem to get Goth right. I can get dark.. haunting ...but not truly goth. To me true Goth style has a bit of attitude, anger mixed in with the pained and haunted look. Goths really look angry and disappointed at/in the world. I think, perhaps somewhere along the way, I either stopped caring or I just forgave the world for disappointing me and now I have trouble capturing the Goth Style. I still love it. It is one of my favorite style to look at, but it feels hollow to me now when I try to portray it.

Tonight's photo settings were built around Home Decor items created by The Dark Fae and 22769 ~ [bauwerk]

I couldn't resist using The Dark Fae's That's a Mouth Full Lamp (L$100) available at World Goth Fair. It is a wonderfully dark mesh wall lamp featuring a serpents head holding a orb from a hook placed in its mouth. The texturing of this item is amazing. It is only 8LI. It looks so haunting up on the walls. I do not think I am using the words to explain this piece properly. You should definitely go check this piece for yourself.

The Modern Goth Complete Set (L$810) is a creation from 22769 ~ [bauwerk] available at the World Goth Fair.  The set contains a  black leather Chesterfield bed, black Balloon chair, Candle house, Gothic end table, Petroleum lamp, Cognac Bottle and glass. The bed contains 27 single and 38 couple animations. The chair contains 10 single sitting animations. You can buy the set in separate pieces or all together. There is a pg or adult version, too.

The Merula Outfit (L$225) created by SAKIDE for the World Goth Fair is a versatile outfit. It comes with several texture styles in the skirt so you can mix up the look. You can even wear it without the skirt as a body suit. The body suit comes in standard layers, Maitreya, Slink, Cute/Phat Azz, and Tango Appliers.

My Aviatrix Heels (L$299) by Chaos, Panic & Disorder are available at the World Goth Fair. I loved the double buckles and stud accents. You can change the color (9 textures) via a texture change HUD. There is a demo for testing before you purchase. You will need to own  Slink Mid feet to wear these heels.

Along with  Slink's  AvEnhance Mid Feet (L$675), I am also wearing Slink's AvEnhance Casual Hands (L$675),  The hands and feet are easy to wear. Each set comes Color  hud that makes it easy to match skin tones and a utility hud for tattoos, stockings, and fingernails.

The Faith Rings (L$70) by The Little Bat  are an un-rigged meshed mufti-ring set, re-sizable via a script. Purchase includes rings for Slink Casual & Elegant hands, along with regular Avi versions. You can pick them up at the  World Goth Fair.

In this post, I am wearing IKON's Crimson Hope Eyes (L$150). I wear the mesh version; most all of IKON's eyes come with a regular Avatar set and a Mesh set. The Mesh set is controlled by a HUD that allows you to change the pupil size, along with glow and positioning. There are over 50 color choices to select from in the Hope collection.I love how bright and clear IKON's eyes appear; they really stand out in photos.

The Lova Skin is the group gift this month from Deluxe Body Factory. This is a great skin for those who prefer a more mature look over all the tween skins on the market.  Deluxe Body Factory is  my main go to place when I want a new look. They create amazing quality skins with excellent attention to details. The group is not free to join. You get one skin with or w/o cleavage, and lola skin appliers. Other appliers are available separately. When you pick this one up you also get last months skin too.

I found the Beki Hair (L$250/single L$1,500/fatpack) while wandering the Cosmetic Fair, which runs till the end of the month. It is a lovely creation by AYASHI. The Beki Hair is  available in twelve color sets. Each set includes eight color options via HUD, demo available.

Also at the Cosmetic Fair, you can pick up three great makeup packs by Zibska; Sayen (L$100), Savina (L$250) and Selby (L$250) . I am wearing the Selby Eyeshadow in this post. Each makeup pack includes system tattoo layers, TMP installer and Lelutka appliers.

My poses for these photos were using the animations in the chair (photo one), my AO (photo two) and Bellepose's Cute Bat Girl (Photo three). The Cute Bat Girl Pose set (L$90) is available at the Spooky Cute Event. It comes with six static poses with corresponding bat props. I know the parts are not really Goth but I thought its go cute.. Where Vampires go for vacation...

Good Evening Everyone,

I was hanging with some friends who were discussing what it would be like to be a vampire. They were discussing all the places they would visit during their vampire life-style, naming all the wonderful places to visit at night, Vegas, Rome, Paris, etc. Since they couldn't be out in the sun, they would always have to travel at night or in a coffin. Which by the way they said was quite out of date for vampires. One friend who is a complete beach bunny, was rather upset when she realized that sunny beaches would be out of her forecast. That got my mind wandering. Why could a vampire not go to the beach? They would just have to enjoy Moonlit beaches instead of sunny ones...after all one does not wish to crisp, now do they?

Second Life Virtual Fashion Review featuring Role-play Vampire

Now at first glance you may think my pretty Vampire is the same as my Drow Demon from my last post, but she isn't. Today's avatar is created using components from Gauze, .:Soul:., Mina Hair, IKON and Slink.

I do have a thing for mono-tone skins, so I was very excited when I opened up my skins from Gauze and saw the Chronicle Quartz Skin (L$800). The Quartz Skin comes in four tones, Pearl, Rose, Grey Jade, and Smoky. I am wearing the Smoky version. The Chronicle line features skins for Women, FemBois, and Men, all sold separately. Each skin set is available in a wide selection of 9 color sets. Each set comes with four lovely shades of the selected skin color. Appliers are sold separately for The Mesh Project, Slink, and Omega. The one thing I really like about Gauze's skins, beside the fact they are amazingly detailed, is I can apply them to my .:Soul:. Kissers using a Omega Relay (L$99) available for purchase at the .:Soul:. main-store.

The Kissers I am wearing today is the Cupid's Pout, Vampire Kissers (L$599). I love how the teeth overlap the outside of the mouth just slightly, they look very natural. The fangs can be worn plain or bloody. I chose plain for this shoot since I am not out on a hunt, after all I am on a vacation! The  Kissers come with a mesh mouth, mesh fang teeth, 3 alpha layer options, alignment tattoo & applier. You can adjust your transparency, glow and tint via the hud. If you join the  .:Soul:. V.I.P. Group you qualify for a discount, too!

To match the ruby red of my lips I chose IKON's Crimson Hope Eyes (L$150). I love how bright IKON's eyes are. I wear the mesh version but all of IKON's eyes come with a regular Avatar set and a Mesh set. The Mesh set is controlled by a HUD that allows you to change the pupil size, along with glow and positioning.  There are over 50 color choices to select from in the Hope collection.

For my hair I chose Mina Hair's playfully designed Astrid Hairstyle, Ombres 1.0 (L$250). I wanted to give a bit more character to my vampire and that curly flip of the hair on one side does it. I got several compliments on my girl as I was out shopping today, as I tend to run around in my latest look while planing my next. Astrid is is rigged mesh and materials enabled. There are two versions in every hair color pack; a materials version and one without materials, along with a busty version. Included is a HUD for color options. There are ten color packs available, each with five different shades. Try the demo first.

My elongated pointed ears are from .:Soul's:. Uni-Ear collection. The Troll Uni-Ears (L$399) are but one of sixteen ear options available in the Uni-Ear Collection. Each ear set includes one pair of mesh ears, a Uni ears HUD, Alpha layers and instructions. The Uni Ear HUD that allows you to change the tattoos and skin. You can also adjust your transparency, glow and tint via the hud. The Uni Ears HUD is very easy to use. The HUDs come pre-loaded with .:Soul:. Skin tones too. So you can easily match the ears to your favorite .:Soul:. skins.

The really cute dress is by Enchantment. The Lokii Dress (L$250) is available at the World Goth Fair. It is an original mesh creation, that comes in five standard sizes. It is available in eight different color choices. I really liked it as it gives her sort of a rockabilly goth look. Which I really liked because it gave her more of an playful fun edge. than a dangerous edge that most go for when creating a Vampire. I wanted my girl to have attitude..not scare. She is after-all in the business of luring her prey to her.. why chase when you don't have to? Did I mention my vampire is a bit lazy. She loves her creature comforts; home delivery being one of them.

I couldn't resist wearing the Wicked Queen Heels (L$100) by The Dark Fae once more . I really love the way they look. You can see a closer image of the Wicked Queen Heels in my last post. They are also available for purchase at the World Goth Fair. They are available in selections that fit Belleza, Slink Mid Feet and Maitreya.

But of course, you are probably thinking.. you can't wear that dress to the beach! Well no, it's for the night out after the beach. For the beach my girl decided to go with a cute seductive fun number by Dark Water Designs. The Gothic Print Bikini #4 (L$50) is a real find at the World Goth Fair. It is one of eight designs you can collect from their gotcha in their shop. I adored the Mexican Sugar Skulls collage material making it brightly colored and fun,  but still keep a gothy look.

My little batty companion, of which no vampire should be with-out, is an exclusive for the World Goth Fair made by Chaos, Panic & Disorder. The Plush Bat (L$99) is available in four adorable colors. You can wear or rez him out, even give him away as he is transferable. It is only four prims.

Second Life Virtual Fashion Review featuring Role-play Vampire

As a never leave home with-out them item, I am wearing Slink's AvEnhance Casual Hands (L$675), along with their AvEnhance High Feet (L$675). The hands and feet are easy to wear. Each set comes with a set mesh hands or feet (depends which you buy) that fits all standard sizes. There is an amazing color change hud that makes it easy to match skin tones and a utility hud for tattoos, stockings, and fingernails.

My photos were taken on the Calypso Sim. It's a wonderful place to hang or snap a few shots they have a nice forested area with a small beach and coffee shop. Perfect for a get together with friends, just taking a pause from your busy second life, or just sitting back and watching the moonbeams come in.

Poses in photos one and two are from the Lost in the Woods, Set 01-10 (L$875), by Black Tulip for the World Goth Fair. They can be purchased in individual sets of five static poses or you can buy the complete set for 50% off. The full fat pack has 50 static poses, mirrored! I can not stress what a good deal the fat pack is for someone who likes a lot of variety. You can see a picture of all the poses in the fat pack on my last post featuring more of the poses available in the pose collection.

My poses in photo three and four were taken using props available for use on the beach at Calypso Sim. The Beach Towel Set (L$299) in the fourth photo are by The Dreamer Creations. This set has a land impact of 11 prims and contains: Adult Beach towel, Hanging towel, Rumpled towel, Beach bag, and a Sun umbrella. Each object has a multi-texture menu available to the owner only.  The beach towel contains 12 single sunbathe animations, 11 naughty single animations, 24 couple cuddles and tease animations, 42 sex animations using a multi-sit system (no pose-balls, just sit on it) The hanging towel contains 9 single sit poses.

Oh and before I forget to mention it, the World Goth Fair runs till Midnight SLT, June 1, 2015. So if you are intending to pick up some awesome goth designs now is the time to go visit  the fair, located on the Curse Sim, You can see a map of the shop locations on the official site.

Take care and have fun in your Second Life adventure!
