Event: Wandering the World Goth Fair 2015

Evening Everyone,

Today is the first day of the World Goth Fair, an annual Second Life event. It is officially sanctioned by the folks at World Goth Day. The official World Goth day takes place May 22nd all around the world. Although the World Goth Fair used to be a charity event, it isn't anymore. If you want to know why that change was made, please read up on the official site. World Goth Fair is produced by Cursed Events.

The World Goth Fair runs till Midnight SLT, June 1, 2015. It is held on the Curse Sim, you can see a map of the shop locations on the official site. The sim is beautifully decorated, the atmosphere is perfect, thirty-nine great shops are decked out in items that are must haves. I have a great look to share with you today to help you get into the shopping mood.

For this post I dusted off my favorite Drow Elve avatar created using components from .:Soul:.TamelessNox and Slink. I used her last in April when I wrote about The Caravan Mystery

My lovely Drow's Ash Skin is one of  the three mono tones from .:Soul's:. latest skin release, Davina (L$899). The Davina skin is available in more than just drow tones it also comes in eight fantasy tones and eight human tones. You get a ton of goodies when you purchase this skin. Each skin tone comes with seven muscle tone tattoos, 5 standard shapes, 16 Eyebrows, Mesh Eyelashes, lip tints for Kissers and Loudmouth, 2 eye-shadows and appliers (Kissers, Loudmouth, Booty, Baby Bump, Lolas, Lush and SLINK). Demos are available, so you can find the perfect shade for you.

My amazing shaggy Masie bob hairstyle (L$249) is one of Tameless' wonderful hairstyles.  It is mesh with bits of flexi so it flows and the ombre colors look awesome for a little attitude. I love how it falls over the eyes hiding them, only allow a little peep. It is available in three color packs: Naturals with all 30 natural colors, Fades with 30 ombre and tipped colors, and Fantasy with 30 fantasy colors. Demo is available.

During the  2015 Fantasy Faire .:Soul:. rolled out two new versions of the Cupid's Pout Kissers; Kisses and Chompers (L$599). I am wearing the chomper set, which happens to me my favorite mesh mouth to wear. I love the pointy sharp teeth. They were available for males and females. I am not sure if they are still available or if another style will be released like them. There are several other styles of Kissers available for purchase at the .:Soul:. main-store for women and men. The male Kissers are called EROs. The Kisser line is easy to adjust and there are excellent instructions on site, plus the .:Soul:. are extremely helpful. Each mouth kit comes with a mesh mouth, mesh teeth, 3 alpha layer options, alignment tattoo/applier, Kisser HUD loaded with textures to match all select Soul skin tones and nine lip colors.

A great think about the Kissers is you can get appliers from other designers for lipstick colors. I found the great Bloody Mouth applier by Nox during the Fantasy Fair (L$120) last month, too. These were just what I was looking for to finish out my Drow.  They come with in tattoo layers, Loud Mouth, Kissers and TMP Appliers. There are four different type of blood styles to wear, from a drip to a splattered mouth, which I am wearing. I believe they were exclusives, so may be unavailable now.

My ears are Boggart Uni Ears (L$399) also made by .:Soul:.. This is one of my favorite Uni-ear styles to wear. The Uni-Ear Collection has over 16 ear styles to choose from. Each ear set includes one pair of mesh ears, a Uni ears HUD, Alpha layers and instructions. The Uni Ear HUD allows you to change the tattoos and skin. You can also adjust your transparency, glow and tint via the hud. They are very easy to customize to skin tones and there is an applier you can suggest to your favorite skin designers to use so matching your skins will be easier.

My delicate Ashira Nose Ring (L$499) is by Maxi Gossamer. It is part of a larger collection, you can buy in a complete set or in several smaller sets. The full set includes the Ashira Headdress and Nose Ring, the Ashira Necklace Set, the Ashira Teardrop Earrings and the Ashira Hoop Earrings. Each piece has a choice of 9 stone colors, plus gold and silver metal colors via the texture changer. These are non-rigged mesh; you can move and rotate them into any position needed and there is a re-sizer for fitting. Also by Maxi Gossamer are the Cleopatra Necklace and Teardrop Earring. These were exclusives for the Black Fashion Fair that ended on May 4th. I will have to admit I am an avid collector of Maxi's jewelry, she has a design for just about any style.

One of the many great items The Dark Fae has out for the World Goth Fair is jewelry. I am wearing the Slither Necklace and Cuffs. Both are sold separately, The Slither Necklace (L$75) comes with a color change HUD with five metal textures. I normally avoid snakes and such as they make my skin craw, but I loved this necklace it hangs wonderfully around the neck just a a real one would I imagine. The Slither Bracelets (L$25) are the gacha in their booth at the fair. There are ten common, five uncommon and six rare to colors collect.

Another great jewelry item to check out at the World Goth Fair is the Faith Rings (L$70) by The Little Bat. The Faith Rings are an un-rigged meshed mufti-ring set, re-sizable via a script. Purchase includes rings for Slink Casual & Elegant hands, along with regular Avi versions.

My outfit is a combination of two creations by SongBirdavailable at the World Goth Fair. The Spiderweb Bodysuit (L$150) is a a tattoo layer in black and white with or without modesty panels.  If you desire a different color you can tint the white version. Slink physique and omega appliers are also included. The Eva Jacket and Skirt (L$250) comes in standard sizes. It is available in six colors. I really liked how the buttons curved down he front it was a nice touch.

The full fat pack has 50 static poses, mirrored! If you are a pose addict like I am, then you know this is one hell of a deal.

Disclosure of Material Connections: I may have received one or more of the products mentioned above for free in hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products I would use personally and believe will be beneficial for my readers.
