Women's Fashion Fix: Futuristic Fairies..where?

Good Evening Everyone,

I have to say this has been rather a frustrating few days for me as I tried to figure out why my high resolution photos from second life have been so damn grainy lately. I thought it was just my monitor going out, so I got a new one and realized it wasn't the monitor. So after tons of tests in different resolution and sizes I figured it out.

Somewhere along the way, I had read that there was no reason to have images larger than the width of your post and you should use JPEG images. I had huge image files and wanted to optimize my website, so I started saving my images as JPEG from second life. Then I would re-size them in my photo editing program. This is where it all went wrong. What that site failed to mention is you do not want to re-size a JPEG because you lose image quality when you first saved it as a JPEG, then you lose it again when you re-size and save a second time. Hence the grainy images...ugh.

Lord knows how long my grainy pictures have been going on and I had not a clue it was bad. This goes to show you should look at your site, from other computers, to be sure of what your readers are seeing. So I wish to apologize for the lowered quality of my images lately.

But my crispness is back and I have a pretty futuristic fairy to share with you! I have always thought it odd that when you generally see fae-folk they are all in medieval outfits, as if from a bygone era. I always figured as the times changed so would they, in the mode of dress and style. So I wanted to bring that out in these pictures tonight.

Lucky for me Zibska had just sent me a new review pack jammed full of some wonderful goodies to share with you all. I love Zibska's unique style and creative fashion creations. This month Zibska has released a new Under Bust Corset, Sweet Jane. It comes with a HUD with nine color textures, so you can control both the main colors and the accent stripes. The eye-shadow I am wearing is Julia #08.  It is one of four  new eye-shadows Zibska has released for Uber's Miami Neon round this month. All packs include tattoo layer, TMP and Lelutka installers. Uber runs till the 23rd of May.

For We <3 Role-Play special 2nd birthday round, runs till end of May, Zibska has two new necklace and earring releases and a free gift! I am wearing the free birthday gift, Takara. It is a lovely necklace and bracelet set. Its HUD has sixteen color textures for the main and accent pieces. The set is sized for a male avatar but comes with re-size scripts so you can re-size it for a girl, too.

My leg hugging Dagny leggings with ruffles accents down the sides are one of Zibska older releases, but still a goody to have. I fell in love with the ruffles they give such character and a bit of girlishness to the outfit. They come with a HUD containing nine color textures so you can mix them with just about any top.

The top I selected is the sexy sheer top (L$60) in lime by IAF. I wanted a shirt that would give a little boob coverage w/o looking heavy and this one does a wonderful job of finishing off the look with out upstaging the corset design. In fact I think it added to it with the stripes down the arms and around the neck line. The sheer shirt is available in ten colors. It comes in system layers and with appliers for Omega, Wowmeh, Lolas, Brazillia doll, Belleza body and Lena

I bypassed the traditional heels for a more natural foot covering, since I figured fae-folk are more likely to want to stay connected with the ground even if it is through paving. Zibska's Kiele Foot Straps were the perfect footwear for this. They framed the feet and gave a very delicate and girlish feel, with out just baring the feet completely. They come with a twenty-seven textures via a HUD.

My pretty Kahili Wings (L$75) are by ARVO I found ARVO when I was doing the Mystic Fantasy Hunt XIII last March. They have some really amazingly shaped and colored wings. All flexi mind you, but I kind of like the way flexi wings flow as you move. These come with a HUD to control flap speed, size, opacity, brightness, shine, glow and colors (imagination is the limit).

I am a huge Star Trek fan so when I found the Andorian Antennaes (free group gift) at .:Soul:., I had to have them! And since I have them, I had to wear them. They are so cute and awesome! They come in eight vivid bright colors, which matches .:Soul:. Catalina fantasy skin line too. I am wearing F8 Jade.  You will need to join the .:Soul:. group to get these awesome antennae. There is  no fee to join.

My long Arabella Hair (L$249/color pack, L$499/mega pack) is one of Tameless newest releases. Arabella is a super long hairstyle that drapes over the shoulders and covering the breasts. it is perfect for so many genres.  It is available in three color packs: Naturals with all 30 natural colors, Fades with 30 ombre and tipped colors, and Fantasy with 30 fantasy colors. It is fitted rigged mesh so try the demo first.

My lovely honey toned Poppy skin  (L$2,499) is by Deluxe Body Factory. The Poppy Skin comes is available in five skin tones: Toffee, Mocha, Honey, Chai, and Sand. Each skin tone pack comes with one natural, clean face on skin; five brow options (ash, ginger, auburn, chestnut, jet); one natural, clean face without brows; six eye-shadows, tattoo layer; ten lipsticks, tattoo layer; Modifiable shape; brow shaper; alpha to hide system lashes and appliers pack (Slink hands and feet; Slink Physique, Lola Tango/Mirage, Baby Bump and Loud mouth).

As a never leave home with-out them item,  I am wearing Slink's AvEnhance Casual Hands (L$675), along with their AvEnhance High Feet (L$675). The hands and feet are easy to wear. Each set comes with a set mesh hands or feet (depends which you buy) that fits all standard sizes. There is an amazing color change hud that makes it easy to match skin tones and a utility hud for tattoos, stockings, and fingernails.

My lovely eyes are Light Hazel Utopia Eyes (L$150)  by Ikon. Ikon is my go-to place for any eye color I may want, they have a huge selection. Each eye set includes regular and mesh and come come with with five iris sizes. There are over 50 color choices to select from in each collection, along with a demo available for testing them out.

Now to my favorite thing in all of Second Life, POSES... I love poses. I am definitely a pose addict. I have thousands of them.

Photo one is from the Rubia, set of five static poses (L$255) by BellePoses for the Thrift Shop 9.0, which runs until May 31st.

Photo two is from the Fairy Set  by FocusPoses. I am not sure if Focus Poses is around anymore in world, I can't find it, but you can still shop on the Marketplace.

Both Photos three & five are from  HelaMiyo's Simple Pose Set ($300/set, L$50/pose) This is the perfect set for when you want to show your style without any fancy foot work. Great for  studio bloggers, too. You get five unique poses, each mirrored.

Photo Four is from HelaMiyo's Ground Sits. This is a wonderful set of five unique sit poses, each mirrored. Perfect for when you wish to evoke an emotional reflective stance.

Disclosure of Material Connections: I most likely have received one or more of the products mentioned above for free in hope that I would mention it on my blog.  Regardless, I only recommend products I would use personally and believe will be beneficial for my readers.
